Ut malè libratus subvertitur iste Colossus,
Et nimio moles pondere iacta ruit:
Sic hos à summo deturbat culmine livor,
Quos nimis extollit praecipitatus honos.

As this Colossus you see is badly balanced and about to fall, and the burden he lifts is too heavy and falls, so envy throws down those from their high perch whom honour has raised up too quickly.
