Le Fils de Dieu seul juste & tout parfait,
Nous a son joug doucement presenté:

Mite iugum Christus, devictis hostibus, orbi
Attulit, & facili mitia vincla iugo.
At tu, qui subdi furiata mente recusas,
Quid quereris, Mortis si cadis in laqueos?

His foes subdued, Christ brings a gentle yoke to the earth and gentle chains with an easy yoke. But you who with a crazed mind refuse to bow [to the yoke], what complaint will you make if you fall into the snares of death?
