Pinguior ut nimia factus farragine taurus
Non fert, ad solitum si stimuletur opus:
Divitis ingenium tale est, qui plus cute curat
Nil quidquam, & superos ringitur ad stimulos.

As the bull, having become fatter from too much cattlemash, does not move swiftly, if he is goaded on to accustomed work, so is the disposition of the rich man who pays more attention to himself than to anything else and is angered at goads from the gods.
