Fata viam invenient.[1]

Fate shall show the way

Notes:

1.  This motto has a different pictura in the 1551 edition ([FPAa095]).

2.  Claude de Laval-Boisdauphin, known as ‘Le Gros Boisdauphin’, was a favourite at court, as the Seigneur de Teligny, a Gentilhomme de la Chambre, Maître d’Hôtel of the Dauphin (François), and Lieutenant-General of Paris. After his wife died, he became an ecclesiastic and was appointed to the Archbishopric of Embrun (in the Alps), but he died before taking possession of his see (1554).
