Contrepoison de Venus.

Par dent de porc mort Adonis le beau,
Venus luy feit es laictues tombeau,[1]
D’ond la laictue autant peut resister
Au faict d’amour, que Rocquette exciter.[2]

La rocquette eschauffe, & la laictue re-
froidit, par lesquelles deux herbes est don-
n entendre que raison, & temperance
de vivre amortit le feu de luxure, que in-
temperance enflamble.
