Contrepoison de Venus.

Par dent de porc, mort Adonis le beau:
Venus luy feit es Laictues tombeau:[1]
D’ond la Laictue autant peut resister
Au faict d’amour, que Rocquete exciter.[2]

La Rocquete eschauffe, & la Laictue refroi-
dit. Par lesquelles deux herbes est donné ŕ en-
tendre que raison, & temperance de vivre a-
mortit le feu de Luxure, que intemperance enflamble.
