Almond tree, why are you in such a hurry to put out flowers before your leaves? I hate precocious pupils.

    L’Amendelier est le premier arbre qui fleurit, & cel-
    luy qui plustost perit. Aussi les trop hastifz esperitz
    (comme dict Quintilian) grand peine jamais par-
    viennent fruyct.
