D’homme qui meurt sans enfans, c’est le signe.

Le Pin brun, depuys le pied, jusque ŕ la sime, ne pro-
duyct nulz regetz de son tronc, designant ung hom-
me qui decede sans laisser hoir de son corps.

The almond

Cur properans foliis praemittis amygdale flores?
Odi pupillos praecocis ingenii.[1]

Almond tree, why are you in such a hurry to put out flowers before your leaves? I hate precocious pupils.
