La Cigoigne est tresnoble par pytié,
Ces petitz nudz nourrit en amytie,
Les esperant rendre telle charesse,
Quand d’eulx aura besoing en sa vieillesse:
À quoy ne fault sa bonne geniture,
Qui la soustient, & donne nourriture.[1]

Les bestes brutes monstrent aulx hom-
mes à rendre à leurs peres & meres, la vie
& nourriture d’iceulx receue.
