Autumno est tantùm cernere ficedulas.
The chaffinch is the bird that announces winter has come. When spring is new, the twittering swallow returns to us. The cuckoo lets us know that it sees summer on the way. Only in autumn can one see flycatchers.
EX quatuor avicularum generibus quae totidem
partibus anni conspiciuntur, videtur innuere re-
rum omnium tempestivitatem: ut admoneamur
suscipiendum omne negocium tempestivè, quia ma-
gna fit occasionis vis in rebus omnibus adgrediun-

sont veuz és quatre saisons, semble qu’il
veulle representer l’opportunité toutes
choses prinses bien à poinct, à ce que soyons
advertis que tout affaire doibt estre entre-
prins en son temps, en consideration mes-
mement que l’occasion est de grand’ force à
entreprendre & parfaire toutes choses.
