Pleust à Dieu qu’un tel soing eussent ceux qui sont mis
Gouvernans le public sur les peuples submis,
Chacun pourroit ainsi vivre sans avarice.
Mais toy, tu vas domptant le loisir curieux
Dont en estudiant tu es victorieux.
Tu aimes antiquité en la faisant revivre.
Et je pry’ qu’en cela j’aye une mesme ardeur:
Je ne crains ce faisant le coust & le labeur
Pourveu que je te puisse heureusement ensuyvre.
